I would rather stay in the forest
and live among the dandelion fairies
who travel through the air,
the wind that blows.
The whispers of mystical creatures
passing between tall bamboo grooves
filtering the wind, creating gentle tunes
that ring in my ears.
Reindeers and wolves, owls and foxes,
crickets and frogs, fishes and dragonflies.
I lie down, while tall reeds surround me, protecting,
as I gaze at the milky-way, weaving its celestial tale
across its cosmic garment.
Hold me, Mother Nature,
don’t let me go.
I don’t want to leave,
not yet.
-Rubu Yari
This poem is an excerpt (with a slight modification) from my book ‘Of Chaos & Clarity‘, published in 2017. It describes my love for nature and how I see her. Nature is inherently mysterious, beautiful, and terrifying all at once. It never fails to pique my curiosity, inspire, and stir my emotions.
Sound makes the reading even more connected…

Nature…. and then the concept of being held. safety. Thank you Yari for bringing us to that place we all want – of being held, not in bondage but held in safety. Prayers today for those in places where they lack safety. Wishes that you, the readers would always feel held.
